Hi everyone, my keen readers. As I promised in my last post, this will be a relaxing article. And what can be more relaxing than talking about the summer vibes? I mean that maybe you are from a place where it is warm and sunny all year long but here in Canada, the late yet still timely arrival of the summer season is a reason to celebrate.
To all of you who travel extensively to international gigs and festivals I wish the best time playing your music and hope your audience will be keen to appreciate your performance.
To those of you who focus on the studio craft, I wish a productive time creating something light and energetic and let this summer inspire you to create something “cool”.
Finally, to those who decide to take time for themselves, like me, I wish a beautiful restful vacation, and I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you again once you return to making new music.
And just to be clear about my summer downtime, I will continue writing blog posts regularly and I will still be listening to your music submissions. It is more that I won’t be doing much else.
News
Although this may not be exactly news to many of you, I just wanted to draw your attention to one opportunity that you might not want to miss.
I am talking about the new and rapidly growing platform Pitchplaylists.com. Please don’t take it as me thinking that they have more truly active playlists compared to elsewhere. It is a completely different opportunity that the platform is offering to the artists. What is it?
If despite professional aversion to music listening that many artists develop (which is very understandable by the way), you still like listening to music from time to time, then this is a chance for you to help your presence grow and help others at the same time.
Pitchplaylists.com allows you to set up submission gates to have artists follow your account, a playlist and save a song of your choice. Although it may not seem like much, it is free; and the number of submissions coming your way depends strictly on your activity on the platform and you don’t have to pay for receiving more music. This alone is a big deal already. Plus, your account gets real followers which is relevant for things like Spotify Discovery mode and your song gets saves and likely listens by real people too. In short, Pitchplaylists.com provides a unique music sharing opportunity that doesn’t exist anywhere else.
I encourage everyone to participate. Remember that only a collective effort will break the walls erected by the mainstream music industry to protect its comfortable but increasingly stale operation.
Music Picks
The music I chose today will be light as a feather, bright as the sunlit sky and feel very positive even if the lyrics are not. No descriptions or comments necessary, just vibe to it with me.

Final Thoughts:
From some of the tracks I selected above, notice how music can accommodate challenging and difficult topics in a way that makes the problem completely dissolve in the composition. Clarity comes effortlessly, the bliss you feel while listening makes the solution seem obvious.
I hope you enjoyed my music picks and if you can think of some light and positive summer songs that should be part of my playlists, let me know. I always welcome your input. On the other hand, you may want to leave a positive comment to cheer your fellow musicians up and spread the joy of this festive season. Don’t hold it back.
Finally, if you would like to write an article on my blog, let me know and we can discuss details.
I won’t charge you for it nor will you be paid. But it is a free promotion opportunity provided that you are willing to write about something relevant and interesting.
P.S.
One special summer gift for everyone: my dub reggae set, Chillout Lounge Dub (AI-generated from a moment of beatbox inspiration, then stitched together and remastered by me). Chill!!!
